The PCC family has set a goal of giving 50,000 volunteer hours back to the communities that have supported it so faithfully for 50 years.

Other Ways We're Giving Back
At our Oregon Food Bank event, over 16,000 meals (including 17,000lbs of rice) were packed for individuals in need. The Loaves and Fishes Holiday Project generated nearly 700 placemats and 2,000 holiday cards. DTC sent over 100 goodie bags to sailors, and collected more 600lbs of food for Oregon Food Bank. The PCC Bookstore hosted events for National Student Day on October 6th - SY offered writing letters to PCC veterans, CA promoted a food drive for the ASPCC Canteen, RC participated in a cell phone drive, and SE collected children’s books for the Children’s Book Bank. The bookstore continues to recycle textbooks that cannot be sold at buyback - Proceeds from this program are given to the PCC Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

PCC also has an ongoing Service Learning program, where certain classes incorporate service into the learning experience. We’ll be counting those hours contributed by PCC students, too.
